4 Use Cases of Hammer: Get Your Job Done!

Hammer is a common tool among us. Although not everybody uses a hammer, definitely someone has seen someone else using a hammer to get their work done with ease. It is an essential hand tool that is important for every homeowner because you can’t call a carpenter or a plumber for driving a single nail to straighten your broken chair.

There are many types and uses of hammers in different fields of work and for different workers like plumbers, concrete/brick breakers, tile/hardwood floor builders, carpenters, etc. But as a homeowner, you have thousands of tasks to do with a hammer.

As a DIY enthusiast, I have used different types of hammers for many purposes. With this article, I’ll just focus on 4 use cases of hammer that will help you a lot if you’re a DIYer, homeowner, or similar.

01. Use Hammer to Drive Nails

To mend, make, or adjust wooden or similar things, most of us use nails. You can easily drive nails with a hammer. And this is the most common use of hammers. Need to fix a part of your wooden table? Grab your hammer, drive a nail in the correct place, that’s it.

Now you may think that this is easy-peasy work, but this is not what you think. Although this work seems easy, you have to be careful while driving the nail while holding it with your hand. A false direction of your hammer can cause an accident. So always be cautious when doing this.

I remember an occurrence when I was young; I was driving a nail with a carpenter’s hammer, and unfortunately, I struck my other hand, causing it to bleed.

02. Use Hammer to Break Objects

A Claw Hammer is one of the most used hammers. Basically, it is used to break objects like concrete, stone, or any brittle materials. Although it can be used to drive nails also, it is perfect when you want to break or make a specific shape in your brick, stone, or something like that.

So, if you want to fix any brick-made things, you may use this with caution. Also, if you need broken concrete to mix with cement to make flooring or for a small work, use this hammer to make your desired concrete size.

But, this hammer is not ideal for any big project like making ingredients for making a pillar or something bigger like this.
